Do I need experience?
Experience in vehicle delivery is a bonus but not essential. We're looking for reliable, confident drivers who take pride in doing things properly. If you're new to the role, we'll provide guidance and support to help you get started the right way.
What sort of driving licence do I need?
You'll need a full UK driving licence held for at least 5 years with no more than 6 penalty points. You'll also need to be at least 26 years old. We'll ask to see your DVLA check code during the application process.
I have a non-UK licence. Can I apply?
Currently we only accept full UK driving licences. You'll need to exchange your licence through the DVLA before applying.
Can I apply if I have more than 6 penalty points?
If some of your points are due to expire within the next 6 months and that will bring you below 6, we can consider your application in the interim.
How much work is available?
Work levels vary depending on the time of year and your location. Many of our drivers work with us regularly; we do our best to match jobs to your availability and preferences.
How much can I earn?
Earnings are based on the mileage of each job. Our average trip is around 135 miles. Typical monthly earnings for consistent, punctual drivers are between £1,200 and £1,600, with top performers earning over £2,000. We'll share a full earnings breakdown when you apply.
How will I travel between jobs?
You'll usually travel to your next job or return home by public transport. We cover all approved travel costs.
Are the vehicles insured?
Yes. All vehicles are fully covered under our insurance policy from the moment you collect them until they're delivered.
What does it mean to be self-employed?
As a Fleet Guardians driver, you'll work on a self-employed basis. This gives you flexibility over when you're available but means you're responsible for managing your own tax and National Insurance. We'll explain everything clearly during onboarding and point you to useful resources if you're new to self-employment.
